These photos represent the first segment of a bus / backpacking trip headed south from Santiago to Patagonia during our holiday break.
Our primary means of travel was via bus, logging nearly 115 hours from start to finish.

The first leg involved a overnight bus to Valdivia, a town about 12 hours south of Santiago. From there, we traveled to Puerto Varas, and we camped and hiked at the base of the Osorno volcano.
We soon left for Chiloé and spent the night in Ancun.
